Wet rooms are the latest trend to hit the bathroom market – they offer an extremely popular alternative to conventional shower enclosures or units. A modern wet room is where the shower is integrated into the bathroom instead of being boxed off in the corner. The room itself becomes the shower enclosure with a drain set into the non-slip floor which takes the place of a conventional shower tray. The big difference is the level of flooring. A wet room will not have a step or a tray for the shower area. The floor of the room will slope into a drain carrying the water away so that it doesn`t flow out right across the entire bathroom floor.
